Steps To Install Windows Vista Updates

Microsoft releases new updates and patches for all its operating systems. These updates are released periodically and they add new features, close the loopholes in security and fix the bugs present in the software. Installing the latest updates will improve the performance of your computer and will make it more immune to viruses and spyware attacks.   • Right click on the Windows Vista taskbar.
  • Click on the Start Task Manager option. This will open the Windows Task Manager.
  • Click on any running application in the Task Manager list and then click on the End Task button at the bottom of the program window. A pop up box will appear. Click on End Task again in the pop up window. Repeat this process for all the running applications. If you have to save any data in any of the programs, save the information and then close the program.
  • To close the Task Manager window, click on the X symbol in the upper right hand corner of the Task Manager window.
  • Click on the Start button in the bottom left hand corner of the Windows Vista taskbar. You can locate the Search field in the bottom left corner of the Start menu. Type in Windows Update in the Search field and hit the Enter key.
  • After following the above steps, click on the Check for Updates button and then on Install Updates. This will install the updates to your Windows Vista computer.
